The Dispersion Challenge
Finer. More Uniform. Significantly Better Performance.
Coarser particles lead to poor dispersion, weak interfacial bonding, and compromised fire performance. Our micronized pentaerythritol solves this at the source.

Micronized Pentaerythritol

- Narrow particle size distribution
- Uniform dispersion
- Smooth film with low defects
- Optimized intumescent performance
Conventional Pentaerythritol

- Wide particle size distribution
- Agglomeration and sedimentation
- Surface defects and pinholes
- Uneven foaming, weak char structure
How It Works
Strong Char. Stronger Protection.
Pentaerythritol acts as a carbon source in intumescent systems. Under heat, it promotes dehydration and crosslinking, forming a stable, expanded char that insulates the substrate and blocks heat and mass transfer.
1. Acid Activation
Under heat, Ammonium Polyphosphate (APP) decomposes to release phosphoric acid, triggering the IFR reaction.

2. Dehydration & Crosslinking
Our Pentaerythritol reacts rapidly with the acid, acting as a crucial carbon backbone to form a dense ester network.

3. Foaming
Blowing agents (like Melamine) release non-combustible gases, expanding the softened carbon layer into a thick, porous structure.

4. Char Layer
A stable, highly insulating char layer is formed, completely blocking heat and oxygen transfer to the underlying polymer.

Key Benefits for Formulators
Designed for Formulation Excellence
Ultra-Smooth Film
Ideal for high-end indoor/outdoor thin-film intumescent coatings.
Low Water Sensitivity
High purity limits moisture absorption, preventing coating blistering and ensuring long-term weatherability.
Broad Compatibility
Seamlessly integrates into water-based and solvent-based resins (Acrylic, Epoxy, Polyurethane).
Superior Expansion Ratio
Maximizes the synergistic efficiency with APP to form a robust protective shield.
